Ever find yourself struggling to remember those important shortcut keys? Well I came across this site the other day that had a really neat idea…..
EditorKeys are PVC stickers you put on your standard keyboard keys

They are said to help you work faster and improve productivity.
The current range of EditorKeys available are
Video editing keyboard sets
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Premier
- Avid (Avid Xpress DV, Avid Xpress Pro, Avid Free DV)
- Final Cut
- Sony Vegas
Audio Editing keyboard sets
- Cubase
- Sonar
- Pro Tools
- Logic Pro
- Reason
Graphic Design
Now, all that said, I see only one potential problem with having a set of EditorKeys stickers on my keyboard. You can only have one set. So if I frequently use two or more applications I will only be helped when using that piece of software. Now that is a good thing but what about all the other applications you struggle to remember shortcuts for.
Fortunately there is one main application I use for my work, unfortunately you can not get EditorKeys for Visual Studio. I would hazard a guess that quite a number of graphic designers or web developers user both flash and Photoshop. Which software would you have EditorKeys for? As it happens you can’t get them for flash so that is a poor arguement.
When it comes down to it, their benefit cannot be disputed and neither can their value for money.
