Justin at CartoonSmart have been joined by John Nyquist on the teaching team, you can visit his web site here.  I have been a follower of Justin and his Flash tutorial for a few years now, when his tutorial were for Flash 5.  In the last year or so the tutorials have focused on teaching techniques for Flash version 8 and more recently CS3.  Unfortunately I have not been able to move on from using verson MX2004 so I could not benefit from his tutorials.

However, now John has joined the team he has just released his first video tutorial for CartoonSmart.  A 2 hour tutorial on the Basics of Blender.  It is quite a comprehensive introduction covering techniques such as the interface basics, setting up your workspace, saving and loading, mainly modeling but finishes up with an introduction to materials and rendering.  In the tutorial John shows how to make a 3d character from a sketch.

There are quite a number of tutorials available for Blender on the internet.  I would love to see them as a regular feature.
